Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:6.0) Gecko/20110806 Firefox/6.0 SeaMonkey/2.3
Build ID: 20110806034542

Steps to reproduce:

I generated a new "List", added a number of address, saved the "List" I then decided to remove the top address from the "List". I opened the "List" and highlighted the address then hit the "Delete" key. Clicked on "OK".......

Actual results:

.......and nothing happened.

Expected results:

"List" should have closed and saved. It should be noted that a "double click" instead of a "single click" performed what the "single click should have performed".

This also is a problem in SeaMonkey 2.2. (Perhaps earlier versions also).
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110808 Firefox/8.0a1 SeaMonkey/2.5a1 ID:20110808003106

Trying to reproduce.

Here, hitting the delete key after selecting an item in the list (after selecting the list in the address book tree pane) does nothing.

Hitting Delete after opening the list Properties then selecting one address and highlighting it leaves a blank line in its stead; then neither single-clicking nor double-clicking OK closes the properties popup.

Ditting Delete a second time removes the line; then clicking OK makes all address appear twice in the list in the main window, but this duplication disappears after going away (by selecting the address book line) and back (selecting the list in the left pane again). The removed line is now gone from the list.

Right-clicking an address in the list, then selecting Delete in the context menu, removes that address from the list.
Confirming, since I was already able to reproduce this.

This is what the reporter meant.

Clicking twice (two single clicks) does, though, which is what the reporter meant (I told him so on the NG).

Right, and that's the second issue, which is also present in current TB nightlies (so it's in either shared or copy-pasted code).

Which list? The AB list or the one in the Mailing List (Properties) window?

For me, clicking [ OK ] any number of times at that point has no effect. The popup remains open.

In the top-right pane of the address book, when the list is selected in the left pane.

The "Delete" item in the context menu for the Properties popup works (for me) even worse than the Delete key: greyed-out unless something is highlighted, removes the highlighted part, greyed-out again after being used, so cannot be used a second time.

For some reason I don't see all addresses in the Properties popup: after creating a list with everything that it would complete for "nobody@", then doing some testing, I see the following:

nobody@formerly-netscape.com.tld
"David E. Ross" <nobody@nowhere.invalid>
deviantART <nobody@deviantart.com>

but I don't see

nobody@example.com
nobody@example.net
nobody@nowhere.net

in the Properties (I see them on the AB topright pane when the list is selected; nobody@example.org has been removed as part of the testing).

After adding them back (with @example.org, and plus @mozilla.org for good measure) then going away and back (to clear duplications) I see them in both the AB topright pane and the list Properties popup. Very strange.
