Autocomplete menu have to look like menulist (combobox menu), not like ordinary 
menu, this will conform with Win2000 look of autocomplete menus

This is UI design feedback, and will have to go through some UI design process
before we assign it to an engineer for implementation.

German has been working on a new design for autocomplete and should have a lot
to say about this issue.

First I would like to clarify what the author means by "look like", I assume
this is win32 classic only and I need to him to specify exactly where he feels
the autocomplete menulist on the classic theme deviates too much from what the
windows 2000 equivalent looks like.

It's at least win classic issue and IMHO implementing that in other schemes 
will be tenable also.
In win2000 (and IE 5.x url field also) autocomplete menulist fonts and colors 
correspond to combobox dropdown menu look. And it seems reasonable for 
autocomplete values are taken from "recently entered" values and it's common 
practice (at least on win) to use combobox in that case.
Note, all browsers except mozilla uses combobox for url field.
