Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:8.0a1) Gecko/20110809 Firefox/8.0a1 Build ID: 20110809030751 Steps to reproduce: Popups on certain pages are not blocked. I clicked on the background of this site: http://www.ussearch.com/consumer/people-search/names/ca+san+francisco/joe/smith.html and a popup came up. I've also recently seen popups and popunders that did not require user interaction, but unfortunately didn't record the site info at the time. Actual results: A popup was displayed when I clicked on the background. Expected results: Popups are supposed to be blocked if you have popup blocking enabled.
You requested the popup with the clicking and it's intended that those popups are not blocked. That's not limited to a nightly build as the summary suggests. Older Firefox versions should behave in the same way.
Yes, see Bug 658911 and vote in Bug 565104, that is what you wish.
