Device: HTC Desire Z
OS: Android 2.3.3

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Fennec App
2. Pull out the HKb
3. Go to Preferences > Language
4. Change the language pack and restart the app
5. Tap on URL Bar
6. Type any URL address (ex: www.google.com)
7. Hit the Return key

Expected result:
After step 7, Fennec will load the webpage.

Actual result:
After step 7, a blank tab is displayed. Fennec is unable to load any webpage and also any new tab opened cannot be closed.
If at step 4 will be selected the Arabic Language Pack then after step 7, the URL Bar is not focused anymore, but the app still remains to Awesomescreen. If a left/right pan is performed, the app goes to page main view and the left/right sidebar is displayed. Please see the following video: http://www.youtube.com/user/qaioana#p/a/u/0/DBakgiYC27g

Sounds like an exact dupe. Reopen if it isn't.

And since it is a dupe and this is 6.0b6, I assume the bug fix did not work in bug 676780.

Sounds like this only happens on phones with hardware keyboards and not on phones with VKB. Un-duping.

FWIW, i cannot reproduce comment 0 with an ASUS Transformer EEpad w/ docking keyboard installed.  hard return key loads the site just fine.

Tested on Fennec 6 beta 6:
Mozilla/5.0 (Android; Linux armv7l; rv:6.0) Gecko/20110810 Firefox/6.0 Fennec/6.0

I cannot reproduce this using the hardware keyboard on my HTC T-Mobile G2 with stock Android 2.2, using the steps from comment 0.

STR without a HKB (HTC Flyer; OS 2.3; Beta 6)

1) install arabic plugin
2) restart w/ arabic language
3) close all other tabs other than about:firefox 
4) restart in Japanese 
5) long tap on 2nd link and select open in new tab 
6) try to close the new tab while it's loading.

Yes, 6.0b6-build1 was built from b225f47f808a according, and I verified that this changeset does include the fix for bug 676780.  QA verified that this from about:buildconfig in the build they are testing.

I wasn't able to reproduce this issue on Firefox 5.
