Steps to reproduce:
Fired a custom event from an SVG document after all content has been loaded and the listener had been added.
See attached test case, bug reproduced in FF5 and 6.0
Actual results:
The event did not get handled by the listener in the outer document (html page)
Expected results:
Listener should be invoked with the event fired from within SVG.

Well who is Robert O'Callahan to "think" that "events should not bubble out of SVG documents."?
I think they definitely should.
His argument that SVG are "images" is wrong, SVG may contain scripting, animation and logic. Yes, by restricting the communication between SVG and its container you would cripple it to just an "image", but why would you want to do that?
