680628 - Dropdown menus in UI stop working

I had a few tabs open in Firefox and started closing them except one (I did not use "Close Other Tabs") and when I went to open a bookmark folder on the Bookmarks toolbar, by clicking said folder, it did not open. In addition to the bookmarks, the URL bar dropdown also wouldn't open when clicking the arrow in the bar neither the menus in the main menu bar.

Restarting Firefox by closing it normally and relaunching it fixes the problem.

I have had this problem in version 3.6 in the past some times and this is the first time it happens to me after being using version 6 since Firefox upgraded from version 5.

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile

Please provide a public URL or reduced test case that exhibits this issue.

I didn't have the chance to start Firefox in Safe Mode after the problem occurring. However, I did create a new profile and after importing my bookmarks and reinstalling my add-ons the problem has not reoccurred.
