In regards to Aurora and Nightly, but not Firefox 6.0.2 (Release), this is a ReOpen for: Windows mouse integration: "Snap to default button in dialog boxes" Bug 76053 I can not reopen Bug 76053 since I did not open it AND it is 10 years old. Refer to the Attachment for examples: - In WinXP there are "Mouse Properties" and it has a feature called "Snap to". - Using Firefox 6.0.2 the "Snap to" seems to work all the time. - Using Nightly and Aurora the "Snap to" (only?) works for the "Restart with Add-ons Disabled" Popup (BUT not the subsequent "Safe Mode Questionnaire" Popup). - Using Nightly and Aurora the "Snap to" FAILS to work for: * [Help][About ...][Check for Updates] Button. * [Help][Restart with Add-ons Disabled][Restart][Continue in Safe Mode] Button. * Tab Mix Plus' "Session Manager - Restore Session" [Restore Session] Button. * (possibly) the Automatic Popup for ['An Update is Available'][Download]. The "Snap to" feature is useful to minimize Mouse movement and allow faster 'click-throughs', it is also a part of the "Accessibility Features". It seems like we dropped (misplaced?) the feature from Aurora and Nightly. On the basis of "Accessibility" it is a Bug to not have it - if this Bug Report must be an RFE then so be it. Thanks, Rob
Can you find the regression window? http://harthur.github.com/mozregression/

(In reply to Tim (fmdeveloper) from comment #1) > Can you find the regression window? http://harthur.github.com/mozregression/ If you are asking _me_ I don't have MozillaBuild. Someone else, please. PS: If memory serves me correctly we MIGHT have had correct operation when "Namoroka" was around. I _think_ Namoroka _might_ have been at version 5 or 6 back when Firefox "Release" was version 3.1-2 -- MAYBE some 10-14 months ago -- MAYBE. ----- Worst come to worst we could RFE the fix in and "WORKSFORME" this Bug Report while we search for the 'if and when' of the regression or progression and then "FIXED" this Bug Report _IF_ the regression (or progression) point were ever found. I believe 'getting it in' is very important to comply with: Web Accessibility http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_accessibility Web Accessibility Initiative http://www.w3.org/WAI/ Web Accessibility Law in Canada http://zvulony.ca/2010/articles/internet-law/web-accessibility/ * And because we are both 'pro-mousers' and 'nice people'. I didn't make the "Importance" any more than "Normal" as we have bigger fish to fry and I like to reserve higher levels for other things. You can bump it up if you like.
Updated Attachment. All 'Dialog Boxes' (seem) have "Snap to" working in Firefox 6.0.2 "Release". There is inconsistency in which ones work and which do not between Nightly and Aurora. ONE of the same 'Dialog Boxes' (for TM+ Session Manager) have "Snap to" working in Nightly but not Aurora, the others seem to not work in both.
Attachment #559546 - Attachment is obsolete: true
This Images shows that while using Aurora Firefox (8.0a2) the "Snap to" feature works correctly for "NoScript"; yet the prior Image showed that "Snap to" did NOT work for Tab Mix Plus' "Session Manager - Restore Session". These are both externally generated popups (produced by Plugins) with one working and one not, thus the breakage is inconsistent (may be harder to fix).
WinXP's "Snap to" also fails to snap to the [Save File] Button on the "Download Dialog" when using "Nightly". This is obviously somewhere where it should work since it is Nightly's own Dialog and the likelihood of wanting to save the File is excellent.
(In reply to Rob from comment #0) > Created attachment 559546 [details] > * [Help][About ...][Check for Updates] Button. There is not such button on current Nightly. > * [Help][Restart with Add-ons Disabled][Restart][Continue in Safe Mode] > Button. The button isn't a default button. > * Tab Mix Plus' "Session Manager - Restore Session" [Restore Session] Button. Please report to the author of the add-on with following URL: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/NsIDOMChromeWindow#notifyDefaultButtonLoaded%28%29 > * (possibly) the Automatic Popup for ['An Update is Available'][Download]. It's not a default button and I think that if we do so, it may disturb the user's work accidentally. So, we shouldn't do it. Please check whether the button is a default button or not by DOM Inspector. If it's not a default button but it should be so, please file bugs for every UI separately.
rob, response to comment 6?

OK.
Rob, do you still see this?

Wayne, I recall seeing "something" a week or two ago. I will look for a _specific_ example and post it within two weeks, or close this (if that is your wish).
