Today while testing another fennec bug (which was fixed, hooray), I discovered that the firefox awesome bar URL entry field does not accept the android system wide editing keystroke "alt-del", which clears to beginning of line from the cursor position. Please ensure firefox implements the systemwide android editing keystrokes in textfields and awesome bar and etc. A list of the keystrokes can be found at http://www.pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/184656/android_keyboard_shortcuts_all_the_hotkeys_you_need.html though their description of alt-del's behavior seems only partly correct.
Phone is Droid 3 stock OS (android 2.3) Workaround: hold down the delete key and wait a long time. Parity: OS-native text entry works great.
