ಠ_ಠ is displayed as blocks and underline.

which makes me feel ಠ_ಠ

Is this true for other UTF8 text? I wonder if those characters are just not included in the font.
Do those characters display correctly in other browsers or apps on the same device?

If Mark is right and the device just doesn't have any fonts with those characters, then this should be marked duplicate of bug 619521.
