Details
Hello, Firefox 6.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. I have a Firefox window. I go to demo.phpmyadmin.net . I Apple-click on the link "HTTP auth". The link opens in a new tab in the background, but then the tab jumps to the foreground because it asks an HTTP authentication. This is not nice. This disturbs my reading and navigation in the first tab. Please leave the tab in the background, and ask me the authentication only when the tab becomes active. My Safari handles that use case nicely : he leaves the tab in the background, and puts a warning sign on it, and asks me the authentication only when the tab becomes active. Thank you for improving my user experience in Firefox. Nicolas

see also: bug 567804 and bug 516781 (we could probably dupe this to the latter).
