We need to make sure other tools such as oprofile or valgrind are satisfied with the changes for gdb or if we still need to extract for them.
what is the bother with leaving debug to extra libraries?
I don't understand your question.
It turns out at least valgrind requires the libraries to be extracted to work properly. We may end up being in a position where we can avoid extracting libs, but it's not for now...
