+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #666735 +++

We need to port the latest work on bug 666735 to our AUS so that we don't offer users updates when we're not supporting them.

Can you clarify, are you saying this is nice to have for TB7, or this is a blocker for TB7? 

And the other obvious question is when is TB7 scheduled to ship?

If I'm understanding bug 666735 right, this is a blocker for TB 7.
