I tried pave over installing firefox 7 build 2 from FTP over an existing Firefox 6 market install. The result after starting up was a black screen
See screenshot
Repro:
1) Install Mobile Firefox 6.0.2 from market, on Samsung Galaxy S 2. Android 2.3.3
2) Launch firefox 6, then goto ftp and download build 2 multi. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/candidates/7.0-candidates/build2/android/multi/
3) grab the apk, and pave install over existing Firefox. accept the terms
4) Verify when Firefox 7 starts up, the content window is black
Expected:
- about firstrun page
ActuaL:
- black screen

since market build is up to date, i am unable to reproduce my original steps at this time. (can't pave over release build with a newer version)
i'll tackle this repro again when we get closer to Firefox 8.

Could just install 6.0.2, and then download 7.0.1, and install via:
adb install -r /path/to/fennec.apk
