For release, we're still requiring milestones to be created prior to the build, see bug 565640. For branch migration, there's a bunch of ad-hoc data manipulations that I do offline, to deal with the fact that the current data model doesn't match rapid release. That's bug 650816, aka data1.1. There are also a hand ful of bugs that may or may not be part of data2, which are in the query https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=component%3Aelmo%20sw%3Adata2. May or may not block this one. We need to get to handsfree release mechanics, thus filing a tracker. I'll drive the blockers down.
We're much better today than we were back then, but I guess we want bug 530808, too.
