(Whiteboard: [BANKING][TLS])

when I go to https://webbanking.tdaccess.com I get the error: Error loading URL https://webbanking.tdaccess.com/: 80004005 In order to access that website you had to have a 128bit web browser, this error happens in 0.7 and 0.8 versions of mozilla.
The site is running a IBM_HTTP_Server/1.3.6.2 Apache/1.3.7-dev (Unix) server and is TLS incompatible. The workaround is to open the Security Manager, click on Advanced and Options, and disable TLS. Over to evangelism.

I did disable TLS, but I still get the same error
I did disable TLS, but I still get the same error. I get this error on Netscape 6.0 too.
I can't evengilize this site without a description of the problem. I don't understand SSL, and I don't get TLS. Can someone who does understasnd these things evangelize the site? Possibly junruh@netscape.com?
This page has now moved to https://easyweb.tdcanadatrust.com due to bank mergers. However, it still fails when TLS is enabled (Linux build 2001031910).
I disabled TLS (while maintaining SSLv3) and it got fixed! (I tried with https://www.cahoot.com, https://www.nwolb.co.uk). TLSv1 and SSLv3 are essentially the same with some minor differences. SSL was developed by Netscape up to version 3 and at that point it got standardised by an independent body to make TLSv1. I believe the SSL/TLS code in Mozilla should identify the problematic WWW sites and choose properly whether to use SSLv3 or TLSv1.
From the previous posting, https://www.nwolb.co.uk does not work, however this is due to a different problem (sh: invalid character 17 in exportstr for AVA_PLUGIN_STATE130_01) The site mentioned (https://easyweb.tdcanadatrust.com) DOES work when TLSv1 is disabled.
Reassigning evangelism bugs to bclary@netscape.com.

I just checked this page today with Mozilla Linux build 2001062306 and TLS enabled, and it worked just fine.

wfm using build 062906
I go to this page (and others using https) and I only get a page showing html code, but blank (I mean, I only get this visible tags: <html><body></body></html>) In the console window, I get this error: Error loading URL https://sourceforge.net/account/login.php : 2147500037 I think I have tried too much combinations of enabling/disabling SSLv2-SSLv3-TLS and it behaves the same.
Sorry: about the comment above, I forgot to tell I am using version 0.9.2, build 2001060810.
I cannot duplicate any problems with https://easyweb.tdcanadatrust.com using build 2001070610 TLS problems were resolved with this site in another bug and previous Mozilla 0.9.x release. See bug 71595 which I marked RESOLVED FIXED and was a possible duplicate of this bug. If this bug is about TLS intolerance, I suggest closing this bug as RESOLVED and if necessary, open an unrelated new bug pretaining to the latest comments about: https://sourceforge.net/account/login.php : 2147500037 made by vcamarillo@yahoo.com which do not appear to be covered by this bug.
Accepting. Will investigate ...

https://internet-banking.dbs.com.sg/ i'm having the same problem too. i'm using mozilla 0.9.4 build on winxp. all the https:// website that i had try to enter, cannot load at all.
i'm able to get it to work after installing personal security manager.
As a followup - I am not able to access https://easyweb.tdcanadatrust.com with the latest build ( 2002011108 ) either. I have turned of TLS but the browser will hang when I attempt to load that URL.
WORKSFORME since a fair bit before 1.0, still works with 1.0 and 1.1, TLS enabled.
wfm with win2k build 20021004.. (with TLS) marking wfm
