User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:8.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/8.0 Build ID: 20110928060149 Steps to reproduce: Since upgrading to Beta 8.0 yesterday, I have found several cases where I click on an inactive tab to select it, and then a second or two later the browser seems to think that I am dragging the tab. It doesn't happen every time, and I haven't found a way to reliably reproduce it, but it's happened a dozen or so times in about a day of use. I've never had this issue with versions prior to 8.0. Actual results: The clicked tab is selected, and then a second or so later a floating view of the tab replaces the mouse cursor, as though it had been dragged off the tab bar. The tab disappears from the tab bar. Expected results: The clicked tab is selected, and the tab is not dragged.
A little extra info from my post to m.d.a.firefox: > Sometimes when I click on an inactive tab to select it, the browser > correctly switches to that tab, and then a second or so later acts as > though I had started to drag the tab off the bar. The tab disappears > from the bar, and the mouse cursor is replaced with a floating view of > the detached tab. My trackpad's mouse button is not being held down, and > there seems to be no way of exiting the drag mode other than clicking to > drop the tab back on the tab bar or as a new window.
