User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20110928 Firefox/7.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.4.1 Build ID: 20110928161145 Steps to reproduce: For Windows 7 (what I am running), the windows/explorer border displays an icon in the upper left corner (e.g. above "File" menu in SeaMonkey). Since version 2.3 I have noticed that this icon looks shabby - jagged edges, not crisp/clear. This is a visual/aesthetic issue only and does not impair overall functionality. See the attached screen pic. I will state that Firefox (with menu's active) and Thunderbird have the same issue. Actual results: Apparently, when Windows 7 is pulling the icon from the seamonkey.exe, it is pulling the low-res icon. I know there is a drop shadow used on the SeaMonkey logo and wonder if that is what is causing the issue. Expected results: I recognize this is a nit-picky issue. From my perspective, the high-res/color icon which should provide a better overall appearance. Looking at other browsers, I can see there is some detail loss due to the small size of the icon but still have a crisp/clean look which tells me that SeaMonkey is passing Windows the wrong icon.
Looking at http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-central/source/suite/branding/nightly/icons/windows/main-window.ico This contains 9 pages: but the 16x16x32bit image is on page 7 instead of page 3. Looks like the 32bit versions of the 16x16, 32x32, and 48x48 images were tagged on to the end instead of sorted in order like the ones contributed by Spinello. I wonder if Windows is not picking the wrong image from the PNG. Also messengerWindow.png and the other main window icons contain 128x128x32 bit images unlike main-window.png which only goes up to 48x48.
Is this still reproducible?
I expect so, given that nothing has changed with our images.

(In reply to Phoenix from comment #2) > Is this still reproducible? Yes. The icon looks the same as the in the attachment with the current (2.8) version of SeaMonkey. Note that this shabby icon look is true for all SM windows.
