692571 - When setting up an event, no event notifications are sent when CalDAV calendar is selected (Accept 201 Status Code)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1) AppleWebKit/535.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/14.0.835.202 Safari/535.1

Steps to reproduce:

Set up an event with attendees using CalDAV calendar.  



Actual results:

No event notifications were emailed when completing set up of event.  


Expected results:

Event invitations should be emailed to attendees.  

Message in error console:  
CalDAV: Sending iTIP failed with status 201 for Paul get to worklipp 

Email received from Philipp Kewisch:  
Ah looks like there is some place where we only accept a 200 message but not a 201. Could you file a bug for this?

Paul, I looked into the code and it seems that message is just a log message. We don't actually bail out.

Could you indeed tell me what caldav server you are using and what other messages you get, especially just after the Sending iTIP failed message?

Felix, caldav is the right component in this case, lets see what Paul has to say.

My Config: WinXP, TB12, Lightning 1.4, CalDAV calendars on DAViCal 1.1.1 server.

When I create an event in CalDAV calendar + invite to an other CalDAV calendar, I expect no email notification!
(and this is what I saw)

Paul, could you explain what you're expecting? Is this bug still true with new Lightning version?
