No, the summary is not a joke. This is what happens when I touch type into a Fennec text field (<input> or <textarea>) using the physical keyboard on my ASUS Transformers tablet. I made sure to type the correct letters. I don't type superfast, either. Note that i also occasionally get random cursor repositioning with the default soft keyboard, but seemingly less often. My guess is there are various event handlers racing each other.
Also, the autocorrection doesn't feel as good as in other apps. For instance, tap space twice doesn't produce a period.
