Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:10.0a1) Gecko/20111009 Firefox/10.0a1 Build ID: 20111009031012 Steps to reproduce: I have a setup with an internal sharepoint server "sharepoint.localsite.mycompany.com", and the client computer is in the same network, e.g. "client1.localsite.mycompany.com". I enter "sharepoint" in the address bar and it resolves to "sharepoint/default.aspx". If I copy the url, it copies as "http://sharepoint/default.aspx". I edit the URL, changing "sharepint/default.aspx" to "sharepoint/support/Wiki Pages/". Actual results: I get redirected to a google search for "sharepoint/support/Wiki Pages/". Expected results: I should get sent to "http://sharepoint/support/Wiki Pages/".
You can either enter "sharepoint./support/Wiki Pages/" or "sharepoint/support/Wiki%20Pages/" A space in an URL is invalid and have to be escaped by %20 and you have an incomplete Domain without TLD that can be fixed by a dot. They keyword search algorithms can't fix both errors. You can also disable the keyword search feature : http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Location%20bar%20search
