Steps to reproduce:
1. Open Fennec App
2. Browse to https://etherpad.mozilla.org/FennecFlash
3. Wait until the page is fully loaded (VKB will be auto-triggered after step 2)
4. Perform a zooming action (do not dismiss the VKB)

Expected result:
After step 4, page will be zoomed in/out.

Actual result:
Zooming is not working at all while VKB is up. If the VKB is dismissed, zooming will work as expected.
This works form me, using the same trunk build on the LG Optimus Black on Android2.2.2.
