Currently, you can not focus on text fields unless the page focus the element for you. This makes testing very hard.

Summary: Can't focus on text fields → Can't focus on text fields when switching to a new tab
Attached patch patch 2Splinter Review
This patch backs out the event handler changes and moves the browser.focus calls to better spots (when the page loads and when we switch tabs). The event handler problems are due to the kinetic panning code itself. We need to do a better job of stopping event propagation. This patch removes the event code that prevents tapping on editboxes from displaying the keyboard. It also now allows tapping on the background to hide the leyboard if it's already open. The _problem_ with this patch is we will select text when we run out of scrollable space. This is a problem and will need to be fixed, but it's less of an issue than the current situation.
