I get expected results (bookmarks window successfully pops up) under Linux on
stable Mozilla 0.8 build from cvs.

sorry abt this. it seems that the theme i'm currently using isn't clued in to
the new css style references. off topic: why does it take a full restart of
mozilla for new themes to work properly?

do you mean you cannot reproduce this with modern/classic?
also it doesn't take a full restart to switch themes, but currently some things
are broken after theme switch, like the status bar, throbber, some menus, etc...
if you cannot reproduce with modern/classic this should be marked uh.. invalid
or worksforme, i'm not sure
