Details

Mozilla/5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:10.0a1)Gecko/20111023 Firefox/10.0a1 Fennec/10.0a1 Device: HTC Desire Z OS: Android 2.3.3 Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Fennec App 2. Browse to http://people.mozilla.com/~nhirata/html_tp/accel_bug615597.html 3. Move the device horizontally up/down 4. Move the device vertically left/right Expected result: The black dot should move accordingly to the performed gestures made at steps 3 and 4. Actual result: The black dot is moving randomly around the square, as you can see in the following video: http://youtu.be/txpYGP4flfQ Note: This issue will be noticed easier if you will perform the reproducing steps on a device with a HKb, while it will be out.
The aforementioned test works perfectly fine on my SII (10/24 Nightly). Is your device properly calibrated? (Settings, Display, Horizontal calibration, and Gyro sensor callibration)
Summary: Accelerometer doesn't work properly for Fennec → Accelerometer doesn't work properly for Fennec with hardware keyboard out
(In reply to Aaron Train [:aaronmt] from comment #1) > The aforementioned test works perfectly fine on my SII (10/24 Nightly). Is > your device properly calibrated? (Settings, Display, Horizontal calibration, > and Gyro sensor callibration) I've checked it and the device was calibrated correctly. In portrait the accelerometer works fine, but not in landscape mode. I've tried to reproduce this bug also on Samsung Galaxy SII while it was in landscape and it has occurred. This bug can be easily reproducible on a device with HKb out.
