I think this might be an issue specific to awesome window manager, and others that don't have window decorations. I opened up the inspector and found that I couldn't close it through any means other than restarting Firefox. Because it's unfocusable, I can't use the keyboard shortcut for close window (because it closes Firefox instead!).

If all you're expecting is a shortcut key to work then this is bug 630460.

Yeah, I guess this is a dupe. I'm not sure what other workarounds there would be.
