It would not surprise me if there is an inconsistency in this massive email directory tree. Is there any wat I can activate a detailed LOG so I can see where it actually goes wrong? Of course, Eudora should abort out of such an error by cleaning up behind itself. I am a programmer myself (Delphi)

There should be error message prior to "database error:[xpconnect wrapped mozIStorageError]". This error message will be more specific as to the type of database corruption. Note, OSE 1.0 is based on Thunderbird 3.0.4. And I think some db issues were fixed _after_ TB 3.0.4. Meaning, if there had been a newer version of OSE then you might not be seeing this problem.
