We need a logo for Air Mozilla.

We need it for a lot of things. Including the blimp. No, I'm not kidding. There will be a blimp. And an octocopter, probably. But definitely a blimp.


Creative inspiration:
I like the "one mozilla/many voices" logo from MozCamp. Very '70's PBS.

Test Pilot has a great retro aviator Kit. Maybe a modern flight suit instead?

Is there a reason why we wouldn't be able to use the mozcamp "many voices" graphic here? it's a theme/graphic that is appropriate for a lot of occasions, not just mozcamp.  Maybe it's something we can leverage vs. starting from scratch. 

* What is your timing here and level of priority?  
* And what exactly do you need?
-- just a Logo?
-- and/or Design skin for airmozilla page?

Yup, understood. I'll provide more detail for you as soon as the dust clears from MozCamp Asia.

The short version is that I think it should be a logo/brand distinct from the "many voices", as much as I love it.

Timing is flexible (don't need it today) but I'd like to have the 'bug' by the end of the year so I can get the blimp envelope ordered. 

We will need to skin a site eventually. That said, we're still working on wireframes for the site, so that's a lower priority.

Also, sorry if this is a dumb question, but what exactly is a "blimp envelope" ? are you guys actually making a mini-blimp out of this...?

Yes, we are going to get an indoor blimp as a camera platform for big events. :)

I think there's some miscommunication here. I need to be able to order the blimp at the first of the year. The website is a Q1 project, but the blimp is not.

From chatting with Sean in Malaysia, I was under the impression he had what he needed for a logo.

Thanks Zandr.  I was still waiting for an update from you per earlier comments.  So, I was unaware of any discussions with Sean or work in progress.  I'll follow up with Sean in a moment but wanted to clarify:

* Are you looking to have designs by end of Q4? I was unaware of this.
* What was the direction you provided Sean, and the resolution you guys came up with / discussed?

mart3ll and I tossed some ideas back and forth and we have a logo/wordmark arrangement using the Many Voices art that we're happy with.

I'll get production details from the blimp vendor and come back to Sean for vector files.
