Cannot make hard edge in gradient

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:9.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0 Build ID: 20111109112850 Steps to reproduce: Specify a background gradient where the end of one color is the same location as the beginning of another color. Actual results: Smooth gradients over several pixels. Expected results: A hard edge at each color boundary.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:11.0a2) Gecko/20120111 Firefox/11.0a2 Works fine for me (Linux/Firefox Aurora 11).
The problem still persists in Firefox 10 on Win 7. I also checked two PCs with very different hardware to confirm that it is not machine specific.
