When there is the all-hands meeting, or any other Vidyo meeting that are public., Air Mozilla forces to use Flash to view. There is no real reason why the streaming couldn't be offered in WebM to showcase Firefox capabilities in the area. Since the video is playback by Flash the stream from Vidyo has to be in either H264/MPEG4 or VP6. Then we should be able to transcode that in realtime to WebM.
Note that if you know how we can get the URL for the stream on the Ooyala player, we can provide you technical assistance to setup the transcoders.
We do need to showcase webm, but the streaming tools are really immature. I think we should get an Ogg Theora stream going first as a fallback, so there's at least one open standards option.
As an update, we have two experimental webm streams now. One from the EntropyWave box, currently available from https://air.mozilla.org/webm/ and one using David Richard's krad_radio software currently testing at http://ec2-50-112-77-171.us-west-2.compute.amazonaws.com:8000/airmoz.webm.
