this is a reopening of Bug 537325 as discussed in comment #54, with some morphing to reflect current STR

i opened a pdf (embedded in firefox), AFTER it loaded i tried to change part of the url. thus i was not able to change the url anymore

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open a pdf (eg. http://www.help.gv.at/Content.Node/documents/meldez.pdf )
2. wait until pdf loading has completed
3. mark part of the url
4. try to delete or replace that part
Actual Results:
the url does not change
you can not change the url anymore

Expected Results:
you should be able to change the url

if you switch the tab and then switch back you will be able to change the url again
I can't reproduce. Eyal, what type of system are you on? Single or multi-core cpu?
q6600 multicore

Are you currently using adobe's enhanced security features? To check, open up acrobat on the desktop, edit -> preferences -> (side panel) "security (enhanced)" -> and note the state of the checkbox on the top right.
yes check box is ticked. but can still reproduce also with this disabled
can reproduce on 13 latest beta

I'm seeing exactly this with both Adobe and pdf-Xchange viewers. FF 22.0

with the pdf open, nothing can be written in for instance, the google search window, close the pdf tab and things can be written but the cursor is invisible.
