1. Load any page, then click the URL bar 2a. Type one tab, then hit enter. or 2b. Type "fake://uri", then hit enter then cancel. Actual: Error message is displayed, but unhandled exception appears in console and the title of the current page is replaced with what was typed. Actual: Error message, page title remains correct. 1. Load any page, then click the URL bar 2c. Type one space, then hit enter. Actual: Unhandled exception in console, return to page. Expected: No unhandled exception, possibly error or no action.

Similarly when going to a direct download link just the title is changed - scenario: 1. Go to any website. 2. In the same website go to a direct download link: 1.usa.gov/deeXKM for eg. 3. Tap in the URL bar to modify the link - to download a related file from the same location would be a plausible scenario. Actual: The original link is kept instead of the new one. With the invalid link version of the issue presented in the bug there is a notification that an external app is needed to open it but no app is opened if the user taps the OK button on both Nightly/14.0a1 Native and XUL 2012-04-04. The stock Android Browsers gives a default search engine result page if the URL is not of valid format. Since this is also an issue on Native I am moving the issue on the Fennec Native product.
The following error is displayed in the console when pressing the ok button to open the link with an external app on Native Fennec: 04-05 12:15:15.397: E/GeckoConsole(3417): Handled load error: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIWebNavigation.loadURI]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml :: loadURIWithFlags :: line 193" data: no]
