On the ASUS transformer I see checkerboarding on the left side of most pages.

This also causes the page to be aligned to the right of where it should be. It should be flush against the left side of the screen.

Yes.

If you rate the tablet to switch to portrait and then back to landscape, the left side of the page paints correctly. Unfortunately, the right portion is still chopped off.

Hmm bad spelling correction I guess. That was supposed to say rotate. I am raising the importance here now that native-ui is being force pushed to Nightly testers on android tablets.

Tablets are not a priority for the initial release. Not a blocker.

(In reply to Kevin Brosnan [:kbrosnan] from comment #9) > Tablets are not a priority for the initial release. Not a blocker. Well that seems odd. If there were not already a version in beta that supports tablets, I would understand that answer. Otherwise it kind of make little or no sense.

I have added the regression keyword here but there is no regression bug identified because the change form XUL to native-ui seems to not have relevant bug that I can find.

I'm sorry Mark but I don't think this bug is a duplicate of bug 704515 because that bug is about checker boards to the left of the sites and this one is about checker boards to both sides of the sites, that is, to the left and right of the sites.

I am upping the severity here because. 1. Nightly tablet users are still being force pushed to native UI builds even if they install a new XUL Nightly build. 2. The native UI builds are completely useless on a tablet in landscape mode. 3. No one uses a tablet in portrait mode for browsing the web. Tablet users only use portrait mode for reading ebooks. 4. This is going to Aurora in < 10 days.

I can reproduce this bug on my Galaxy Nexus phone (which is not a tablet).

I've attached a screenshot from my Galaxy Nexus phone.

We need to fix this to make Fennec usable on phones with displays wider than 1024 pixels, like the Galaxy Nexus.
