The team has been able to identify a couple of issues with the original design that just doesn't work well for the site:


* The header and footer are very large for the amount of content shown on the site
* The theme is geared more toward a static-content site rather than a product
* It's not simple or directory-like
* The scheme does not match any of our other product sites

I've talked to John about this a few months ago and he suggested planting the One Mozilla theme when its available, but I'm not sure what that'll look like or when it'll be available. We have needs now though and would like to re-design the site by the end of Q1. Crystal will supply the full set of wireframes, but her final work will be based off of starting wireframes shown here:

The One Mozilla theme has been pushed back to Q1, but it's definitely on the calendar for then. Would be great to sync this up with that...if you need your site redesigned by the end of Q1 that ought to be very doable.

I'd want this to match the new look and feel of mozilla.org and I would like that to be visually redesigned by Creative to reflect that new style. We should be able to team up with UX on this no prob. 

Sounds like timing should work out.

Bram's wireframe work is ready to go and we'd like to install the less framework and one mozilla styles/assets to it. 

Tara, Ty or Lee: would you happen to have it available?

Sean is packaging up the One Mozilla assets now..should have them ready in a day or two. If you can wait, that will be your best design guide.

Cc'ing Matej for the copy help. As for the higher res mock-ups, I'm happy with using the style guide and assets for the One Mozilla template with these mock-ups. 

Creative folks, feel free to interject if doing something else isn't the right solution here.

Hi Matej,
To make things easy, use the dummy text fields found on the wireframes I’ve attached in Comment 8 to figure out what kind of copy you could write. Most of these will communicate the benefits of joining Mozillians to new contributors. Some will communicate who we (Mozilla) are.

We're implementing sandstone on mozillians-dev, but Bram has come to realize that it's likely not enough based on what we want to do. Namely, we need help with hi-res design for the new UX on the phonebook. A lot of this work can be separated into three sections outlined below. We've attached wiki-fied proposals, mock-ups and copy as needed!
