For some strange reason bugzilla pages seem to load something from
statse.webtrendslive.com and that causes lots of messages to
error console.
Could we please stop using statse.webtrendslive.com, or ask webtrendslive.com to
fix their server.
Summary: bugzilla pages cause lots of "statse.webtrendslive.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555" message to error console → bugzilla pages cause lots of "statse.webtrendslive.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555" messages to error console
we're not going to stop using webtrends to track bmo, shifting bug across to webtrends so they can fix their server.

Our operations team is currently addressing this. I hope to have more soon.
I can't seem to replicate this on my end. Please provide more information.
Anyone have an opportunity to review my last comment?
bradley,

you need to use firefox's error console to view this message (tools -> web developer -> error console). load a bmo page with that window open and you'll see:

statse.webtrendslive.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see CVE-2009-3555

filter on 'messages' to hide the css warnings.
I found the following wiki article:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security:Renegotiation

It appears that our servers may not yet be compliant with RFC 5746. I will check-in with some of our operations folks to see when we're planning on addressing this.
This not something I can consistently reproduce on my end. For example, www.mozilla.org and support.mozilla.org do not produce these messages (even though they are communicating with statse).

In any event a ticket has been submitted on my end.
Since this is dependent on a third party change, I'm not sure how much further this bug can go.

Closing as Resolved, Incomplete for now.

Note: this does not affect anything from the analytics perspective.
