User upgraded from 3.6 to 8.0.1 on Windows XP and Firefox began crashing on startup. User tracked the cause to Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On Login Manager used by his employer and confirmed that shutting down the software allowed Firefox to start normally.

Correlations per module in 8.0.1 show a strong correlation with mozcomp.dll:
86% (12/14) vs. 0% (12/48832) mozcomp.dll
It's a new form of bug 680927.
