RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 22775

Details

This may be related to both 22775 (autoscrolling RFE) and 70666 (odd scrollwheel behaviuor in Mac) - I am seeing symptoms common to both with my logitech cordless trackball. This device does not have a scrollwheel but the driver emulates this functionality by using a button to toggle autoscroll. In pages without a scrolling listbox scrolling is nonfunctional as indicated in 22775. In pages where there is one or more scrolling listboxes the "scroll focus" for want of a better term is grabbed by one of the listboxes and toggling the scroll function scrolls its entries not the page as described in 70666. Since this is implemented by the logitech mouseware drivers, which are universal for their product line, this is likely an issue with all recent pointing devices for that manufacturer. All other apps including IE and NS4.75 browsers scroll as expected.
