User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:8.0.1) Gecko/20111121 Firefox/8.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.5 Build ID: 20111121023255 Steps to reproduce: Running on KDE, with my window focus policy set to 'focus follows mouse'. I have a large enough set of bookmarks that when I am navigating the Bookmarks menu sometimes they end up outside of the browser window. When I select one of those... Actual results: if the window underneath where my cursor is not a seamonkey window then nothing happens (the bookmark menu disappears). If there is a seamonkey window underneath my cursor when I select the bookmark it gets opened in that window, even if that window is not the window I opened the bookmark menu in. Expected results: Seamonkey should open the bookmark in the browser window I initially opened the bookmark menu in.
I have also tried this in safe mode. Same problem. Firefox 8.0 does not seem to exhibit this issue. SM 2.6b3 seems to still have this problem.
Confirm. SeaMonkey 2.6b4 Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:9.0) Gecko/20111213 Firefox/9.0 SeaMonkey/2.6 GNOME - Ubuntu 10.10
I can confirm this with current trunk -> NEW
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Version: SeaMonkey 2.5 Branch → Trunk
(In reply to long from comment #0) > if the window underneath where my cursor is not a seamonkey window then > nothing happens (the bookmark menu disappears). If there is a seamonkey > window underneath my cursor when I select the bookmark it gets opened in > that window, even if that window is not the window I opened the bookmark > menu in. I know this as a long-standing bug which exists since the first SM version2 release, as far as I remember it was not in SM version1 and was also never in Firefox. I can, however, not confirm the above described result when the cursor is not above a Seamonkey window, in this case I get the expected result. And FWIW, the problem is not Linux-only, you get it also on Windows when you configure this to 'focus follows mouse' (what I usually have ;-).
Is this still reproducible in current SeaMonkey versions?

I can no longer replicate in: User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:15.0) Gecko/20120909 Firefox/15.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.12.1 Build identifier: 20120909051705
(In reply to Phoenix from comment #5) > Is this still reproducible in current SeaMonkey versions? Yes (just checked with a current trunk nightly). Reproducible only with a left click, though (a middle click opens a new tab in the window that belongs to the Bookmarks menu that was opened). Happens with both the Bookmarks menu from the menu bar and the Bookmarks button on the Bookmarks Toolbar.
I also still see the problem in SM 2.12.1
(In reply to Phoenix from comment #5) > Is this still reproducible in current SeaMonkey versions? I have it still in the current SM v2.12.1, both on Linux and Windows.
