This will make the auto-tools not need to be blocked on releng for deploying anything. Any suggestions on how to implement this? This should be behind LDAP. Do you guys want specific people to be allowed? or a group? or anyone with LDAP? There is no rush to implement this as we can still upload them through releng.
This seems like a dupe of bug 701506, especially if the server in question stores more than just python packages. Armen,if you go read comment 14 on bug 701506, see if we can make that system suffice the needs that you're thinking of here. If these two systems are different (or if this is a short term solution whereas 701506 is the long term solution) please let me know.
I have no need for a short term solution.
