fixed by version bump on AMO. Unfortunately Seamonkey doesn't automatically bump versions like Thunderbird does.

"version bump on AMO" means nothing to me. If a fix or update is available, how do I get it?

In Thunderbird use Tools > Add-ons > Extensions > Check for Updates to download the latest release or compatibility information from addons.mozilla.org. Look for something similar in SeaMonkey.

That worked thanks. However, it's curious that the Seamonkey update failed to find that when it checked for updates. I updated another computer and it also updated lightning and Provider works fine on it, without requiring a manual update. Both computers are running 64 bit openSUSE Linux 12.1

When I marked this bug fixed, I changed a certain setting on addons.mozilla.org that would allow subsequent checks for updates find version 0.9 with Seamonkey 2.6.
