Once bug 702353 lands, there are a number of things that we can remove from the special powers api: * Goop like openDialog (added in bug 713747) * Pseudo-wrapper general functionality, like getPrivilegedProps. There are certainly some things, like the pref API, that we should absolutely keep doing via the API. But I think that a lot of the long tail can go away.
Mass closing mochitest bugs that haven't had activity in the past 5 years. Please re-open or file a new bug with modern context if this is still relevant.
