Is that specific about the new-in-Lion '2 finger swipe to go back / forward through history' ? Or is there more to it ?
(In reply to philippe from comment #1) > Is that specific about the new-in-Lion '2 finger swipe to go back / forward > through history' ? Or is there more to it ? That seems to be specific about the new-in-Lion '2 finger swipe to go back / forward through history.
Firefox had to implement this themselves in bug 668953, and it's a giant can of worms.
I hate hate hate the two finger back/forward. I even filed a bug on it for Chrome[1]. On pages like app store ones[2], it takes you back after scrolling frames from left to right. Firefox is probably set to open in 32-bit mode ("Get Info" in the Finder). Unchecking the 32-bit box fixes the problem for me.
This is a Camino bug.
Whoops. Apologies on missing the Camino detail...I did not notice that.
Summary: [10.7] Scroll left or right with two fingers doesn't work → [10.7] back/forward with two fingers swipe (left/right) doesn't work
I guess the decision that needs to be made here, then, is whether or not we *want* to support this gesture, and how much trouble we're willing to go to in order to do so.
This issue showed up on twitter: Jeffrey Mitchell @jefmitch @caminobrowser any plans to have multitouch gestures? Basically just looking for 2 finger swipe to go back. That's all you need! 7:12 PM - 12 Feb 12 via web caminobrowser @caminobrowser @jefmitch We already support some gestures, but that particular one is really problematic to do right :-( bugzil.la/714433 Jeffrey Mitchell @jefmitch @caminobrowser that stinks. Love how it works in Chrome and Safari...not so much in Firefox. But it's so nice when you're without a mouse!
