3/9 04 Win98 Create a folder with a subfolder put some msgs in the subfolder (exit & come back? the msgs accumulated over time...) goto subfolder, select all msgs and delete them goto any other folder (I used my Inbox) and try to move a msg into the newly emptied subfolder. Get an error message claiming the mailbox can't be found.

I talked to David Bienvenu about this bug and he claims it's due to imglib returning an incorrect URL when the message has images in it. However, I'm getting this error on a message with no attachments and no images. If my problem were due to the imglib theory, then I shouldn't be able to move the message to any folder. However, I _was_ able to move the message to a different folder, just not to the one where I want it. Nominating dogfood since I'm unable to file some messages to appropriate folders by any means.

Getting the same message in similar situations under linux/2001042121: When selecting an imap-folder that is empty, mozilla complains with the above message twice

FWIW, I have been getting the same annoying error, just trying to check mail, when some folders are empty. I suspected for the longest time it was one of the other bugs listed on bugzilla, but this is the first place I've seen mentioned the issue of the folder being empty. My result: I put some messages into any empty folders, re-ran mozilla, got the error messages, selected each previously empty folder once, saw the contents and message counts appear, and now I don't get the error message any more! I have even trashed the messages in some of the folders, so they are again empty, and still no more errors. I have no idea exactly what bug was catching me, but thank you anyways, now I don't see it anymore. Rob

I do not know what SeaMonkey is. So I must have been having the problem in Thunderbird. A quick test run of the problem description indicates I am not having the problem in Thunderbird. Since I do not have SeaMonkey, I cannot answer the question you pose.
