NECKO: Timer to pump netlib may cause a side effect of slower load
TO DO for Performance: Much of the product (resources, xul files, etc.) are being loaded through local file URLs. Unfortunately, the current netlib is using a timer to pump netlib which could be causing a side effect of slower initial loading performance.

This should get fixed with the landing of Necko.
I'm moving this to target M9, Necko will be enabled somewhere during late M8 or early M9. We will need to get on this and it cannot be postponed past the M9 milestone.
Changing all Networking Library/Browser bugs to Networking-Core component for Browser. Occasionally, Bugzilla will burp and cause Verified bugs to reopen when I do this in a bulk change. If this happens, I will fix. ;-)
Pl. verify with Necko

uhm, there's no more timer right? So this can be marked resolved?
This issue still exists on Mac. We did it as a work-around for lack of proper nspr support. Gordon is working on it -- not sure if he already has another bug report on this.
Gordon, what's the status on this? Do we still have timer events to pump necko threads on the mac?
