User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:12.0a1) Gecko/20120117 Firefox/12.0a1 Build ID: 20120117031056 Steps to reproduce: Opened a new tab (by either clicking on the new tab button, or Ctrl-T) Actual results: A new tab was opened. I started typing the address/URL but address bar did not have focus, so it was all in vain. I had to click on the address bar (or hit the Tab key 3 times) to set focus on the address bar and then type the address. Expected results: In my opinion, when a new tab is opened, address bar should have focus, so I can start typing - and let the awesome-bar be awesome. I think this is how it was until recently - if I trust my muscle memory.
WFM with both my regular profile and in a new one. Have you tested in a new profile/safe mode?
Should have tried in a new profile. You are right, by disabling all add-ons and enabling them one-by-one, I noticed that this may be a result of WebMail Notifier 2.8.3. I'll open a bug on webmailnotifier bugzilla. Certainly not a Firefox bug, so closing as invalid.
