Steps to reproduce:

There is no visual indication that an anchor tag is focused in recent versions of FF. To reproduce open http://ckeditor.com/demo and select the 'Text Color' or 'Background Color' icon from the toolbar - click 'More Colors..'. Each color in the table is an <a> tag. Select a color by clicking on it with the mouse or navigate the table using the keyboard.


Actual results:

There is no indication which color is currently selected.


Expected results:

The focus ring should be displayed around the selected color.

This problem occurs in FF9 on WinXP and Windows 7. It works correctly in FF3.6 though.

Teresa, why did you mark this one blocking our "JAWS issues" meta bug? JAWS doesn't rely on the focus ring being actually visible. Or are you testing with MAGic?

In any case, I believe this is a duplicate of bug 689500. And a regression from bug 418521.

Hi,

I agree that this is a very similar issue to bug 689500 but the issue reported here is also reproducible on Windows 7. Bug 689500 seems to be specific to the Win XP platform. Also the issue reported in 689500 only happens the first time focus is set - in that testcase if you tab to another input control and then set focus through JavaScript again the focus ring will be displayed. This is not the case for the issue reported here though.

I marked this bug as blocking the "JAWS issues" meta bug because I believe that is the agreed process for all IBM reported issues.

This bug has been tagged for regression and or closure.
This has been fixed and regress w/o error in Nightly & Release.
Considering this I will mark this issue as Resolved-WORKSFORME. 
If anyone can still reproduce it, feel free to reopen the issue and provide updated steps/links.

Not fixed on 45.0.1 as well as 48.
I can still reproduced, see Bug 1391740
