User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:9.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/9.0.1 Build ID: 20111220165912 Steps to reproduce: 1. Create a contentEditable span with one word in it 2. Double click said word 3. Press right arrow 4. Watch the caret go all over the page as if it were all editable Actual results: The caret tried to conquer the world (of that page) Expected results: The caret should have hit an invisible wall at the end of the selected (double clicked) word

Able to reproduce: Clicking in there and pressing left or right makes the caret hit an invisible wall at either parenthesis. Not able to reproduce: Double clicking on the text and then pressing (left or) right makes it scroll into the bottom two paragraphs. Using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:13.0a1) Gecko/20120201 Firefox/13.0a1 Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
Component: Keyboard Navigation → Untriaged
Bug persists when in Safe Mode and when using a clean profile.
Component: Untriaged → Editor
Product: Firefox → Core
QA Contact: untriaged → editor
I can't reproduce either of the two problems on the latest Nightly.
