Threading and sorting by date are NOT joined at the hip, as most seem to think ;)

They are actually quite separate and distinct features!!!
Reopened. This is reproing on build 04-02-04.

The fix was *checked in* on 4-2-04, so unless you pull the CVS tree yourself,
you won't see this fixed until 4-3.  
this is fixed, try a more recent build.
