We want to build a http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html page for ESR builds that could live at /firefox/organizations/all.html that we would link to from the FAQ. We can use the same graphics and just change the intro text from "Download a Firefox that speaks your language" to "Download Firefox ESR".

Hey Steven - It turns out this is a essential for the 1.5 release next week -- I know you're working on the Channel landing page, and a lot of other bugs, so if you think this timeframe is too tight, let us know and we can help reassign it. Thanks!

Is the product-details library aware of the ESR builds? That's what builds out the table of downloads on the other /all/ download pages.

(In reply to Steven Garrity from comment #2) > Is the product-details library aware of the ESR builds? That's what builds > out the table of downloads on the other /all/ download pages. My guess is not. Who would know how to fix that? James, Rik, rel eng?

no, there is no ESR information in the product-details library (can be added though)

(In reply to Pascal Chevrel:pascalc from comment #4) > no, there is no ESR information in the product-details library (can be added > though) Who can add this to the product-details lib? It's not something I've worked with or have the skills for myself.

Technically, I could do that and add the needed additional methods, but I am in a work week in Brussels and have Fosdem this week end, I am not sure I will have time to do it this week so if somebody with more time wants to do it, please do :)

Laura(s), can you help us track down someone to add the ESR builds to the product-details lib?

ok, I found a few hours to do it this afternoon and I have a patch, I am going to commit it with a test all-esr.html page that is based on all.html for testing.

r100974 adds the data and needed methods for the ESR links generation in product-details r100977 is the all-esr.html page itself on mozilla.org for testing http://www-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/all-esr.html

Pascal-- This looks awesome. Only change I can see is removing the weird graphic of the dude squeezing the globe--that way we dont have to worry about the text overlapping on the image. Otherwise, its absolutely awesome. Thank you!

thanks Laura, Steven can you take care of Laura's comments and move the page to the final destination (I don't know what url we want for the page)? Also, we may want to work on the meta data and text so as to not have this page show up too high in google rankings and compete with our regular all.html page

Thanks Pascal, great work. The export-to-JSON script needs a small tweak (it's not exporting the latest ESR version yet), but I can add that.

Thanks Fred, I am CCing Sancus and Standard8 to this bug as they probably have the same need for Thunderbird.

Yeah, we can take it from here. Thanks Pascal!(In reply to Laura Mesa [:lmesa] [:lvmesa] from comment #10) > This looks awesome. Only change I can see is removing the weird graphic of > the dude squeezing the globe--that way we dont have to worry about the text > overlapping on the image. Otherwise, its absolutely awesome. Thank you! I've removed this image in trunk (r100978). Perhaps the main paragraph ("Firefox is available in...") should be re-written to explain the ESR release, link to more info, and a link to the 'real' Firefox download page.

How about this: "Firefox Extended Support Release Firefox ESR is intended for groups who deploy and maintain the desktop environment in large organizations. _Learn more_." (www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations) Also, I think it makes sense if the page lives at /firefox/organizations/all.html (In reply to Fred Wenzel [:wenzel] from comment #15) > (In reply to Fred Wenzel [:wenzel] from comment #12) > > Thanks Pascal, great work. I heard from Rafael that they were building their own page already, but I think the drivers are already cc-ed on this bug.

The final change is on the FAQ: So instead of "Where can I download Mozilla Firefox ESR? You can download Mozilla Firefox ESR here: Windows Mac Linux Linux 64 " We do: "Where can I download Mozilla Firefox ESR? You can download Mozilla Firefox ESR _here_ (www.mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all.html)

We've already done one based on our all-beta which has details outside of product-details (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/organizations/all-esr.html). Whilst we may integrate it in future, I think we'll look at how we integrate into product-details again (though that's a subject for a different bug/discussion).

Fixed the wordmark logo link on the all-downloads page. Put the revisions up in the whiteboard field too. (In reply to mcbmoz from comment #22) > URL = good to go, as it matches the structure for GA, Beta, and Aurora I don't have any preference for the URLs, but the other "all" download pages are: http://mozilla.org/firefox/all http://mozilla.org/firefox/all-beta http://mozilla.org/firefox/all-aurora so http://mozilla.org/firefox/organizations/all doesn't really match the scheme.
