Browser rejection script: http://iec.co.il/Style%20Library/Iec/Scripts/jquery.reject.min.js /* * jReject (jQuery Browser Rejection Plugin) * Version 0.7-Beta * URL: http://jreject.turnwheel.com/ * Description: jReject gives you a customizable and easy solution to reject/allowing specific browsers access to your pages * Author: Steven Bower (TurnWheel Designs) http://turnwheel.com/ * Copyright: Copyright (c) 2009-2010 Steven Bower under dual MIT/GPL license. * Depends On: jQuery Browser Plugin (http://jquery.thewikies.com/browser) */
The script in the site is old. They use 0.7b version but currect version is 1.0.0. http://jreject.turnwheel.com/ But the orginal script is not update too. New Firefox version in the script is 8.
Once message sent to the IEC, there are some status info about any appeal. The name and the direct email of the person seemingly taking care of this issue, will help to somebody? I am not sure if it's OK to paste this info here...
Yes, that's what I've found, but it was too difficult to me to try viewing code differences and spot the change. I think we will have to build reproducing environment unless someone will step in with more knowledge on the script.
The browser detection itself is done by the following script which was appended at the bottom of the rejection script above. /* * jQuery Browser Plugin * Version 2.3 * 2008-09-17 19:27:05 * URL: http://jquery.thewikies.com/browser * Description: jQuery Browser Plugin extends browser detection capabilities and can assign browser selectors to CSS classes. * Author: Nate Cavanaugh, Minhchau Dang, & Jonathan Neal * Copyright: Copyright (c) 2008 Jonathan Neal under dual MIT/GPL license. */ This is actually the latest version according to its website. After manually replacing the script files in a local copy of the site, I can confirm that updating the browser rejection script could help solving this issue.
On both Kubuntu 12.04 Ff13.0b2 and Win XP Ff12.0 - I can't reproduce it anymore. So, it's probably was fixed by IEC. May this bug be closed?
Verified fixed on - • Aurora Firefox 14, Linux. • Firefox 13 Beta, Windows XP.
