Apologies if this is a dup, but I couldn't find a related ticket.
It would be help if more than one user could edit a saved search. For example, we often need track disparate tickets and use the "tags" feature. The saved search is then shared.
However, if the owner of the search goes on vacation, I don't see how another person can easily edit the search.
Another option could be to create a generic search and use perhaps the whiteboard or keyword to narrow the scope. Then any user could "tag" a ticket that should be included in the search. But this may be too open.

Wow, I wouldn't want someone else to edit my own saved searches. If you don't like someone else's query, either don't use it, or edit it and save it under your own name.

At the moment, folks are passing around an excel spreadsheet to track key tickets. I'd much rather have this available online and shared, somewhat like the google doc spreadsheet.
I believe mozilla uses the whiteboard to lump tickets, with caveats noted above.

Sharing the search for editing would be insufficient, since tags are also private you'd need a way to share them also. In fact, there are already shared tags - they're called flags.

Just use flags, and if you need to, you can restrict the users who can set them.

Alternatively you could create a shared account to "own" the relevant queries (and add tags to bugs), or have an Admin impersonate the inconsiderate person with a personal life (although this is pretty heavy weight and requires the user you're impersonating to lose Admin while you do it).
For the record, I don't recommend either of those approaches, especially if you have a public Bugzilla (shared passwords are a security hole, impersonation is mostly evil).
